An “Overnight Success” of Several Years
On Thursday, June 9th, Ron Foxcroft was celebrated as Burlington’s Entrepreneur of the Year 2011. During his induction speech, I couldn’t help but feel that Ron was speaking my language. Ron spoke of the importance of commitment to your ideas and your dreams. Contrary to popular belief, the “overnight Canadian success” of the Fox 40 whistle, actually took years of hard work, dedication and perseverance.
Ron’s story serves to remind us that “a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step”. As an entrepreneur that is in the business of helping other entrepreneurs grow their ideas and realize their dreams, I couldn’t agree with this more.
